·         Envera Systems Inc. – Sarasota, FL - 03/2014 – 09/2015

 

IT Manager Network Engineering – Managed a wide array of technologies with a coherent and effective IT architecture for their 5 offices and 500+ remote networks. Tasked with upgrading all of the legacy networks to a true enterprise Cisco and Dell architecture with full diversification and redundancy.

 

Managed the Help Desk Team which serviced both inward and outward facing customers. I also functioned as the mentor, consultant and SME for other members of the IT team and across business units which included the Executive, Operations, Installation, Sales, Marketing and Central Station teams, along with their external client’s Management and Executive teams.

 

Maintained detailed project plans for all ongoing projects and activities, which included developing and maintaining a Master Project Plan. I worked with multiple engineers, contractors, vendors and in-house personnel in support of these projects.

 

Worked with various department heads to define and implement the requirements for various Service Level Agreements for their clients. I also worked with their Human Resources Department pertaining to acceptable use policies for the IT, Telecommunications and Operational Security for their organization.

 

Project Manager and SME on all new office build-outs, to include the latest Call Center which just opened in Sarasota. I also drafted and executed RFI’s, RFP’s and RFQ’s as required.

·         Proactive Communications Inc. – Killeen, TX – 10/2011 – 07/2013

 

Sr. VSAT Engineer FSR - Design-built LAN / CAN / WAN communication systems on new & existing Forward Operating Bases (FOB’s) in support of the US War Fighter & International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) in Afghanistan under LogCap IV.

 

These systems utilized VSAT, BGAN & Auto-Deploy and encompassed Voice, Video, Data, DAS & RF via hardwire & wireless topologies. Provided daily desktop support for all end users on the FOB pertaining to any IT / Telecom / Satcom / RF issues including moves, add & changes, averaging 350 - 400 tickets monthly. Installed, programmed & managed network components from the satellite system, top level architecture, routing & switching fabric, servers, laptops & printers to a myriad of mobile devices. Provide daily monitoring of network performance & usage, along with logistics support for all IT/Telecom equipment & incidentals for the FOB & end users.

 

 

·         Design-Build Contractor / Consultant – 12/2001 – 01/2006, 07/2008 – 10/2011

 

Contractor / Consultant - Design-built communication systems for Resorts & Marinas throughout the US, Bahamas and Caribbean. These primarily consisted of Triple Play solutions along with DAS, CCTV, Sound, Security, Smart House, Home Theater, Audio & VSAT Systems. Solutions consisted of satellite systems, top level architecture, routing & switching fabric to end user components, including a myriad of mobile devices. The primary infrastructures designed were HFC, FTTx & Wireless. Managed multiple projects simultaneously, up to $10M in IT/Telecom solutions on projects as large as $500M with up to 40 installers, engineers & supervisors.

 

Worked with various established LEC’s & MSO's, pertaining to COEI, EF&I, I&R, Wreck-out, Surplus and Asset Recovery focusing on Nortel DMS/BTS, Siemons DCO/BTS, Lucent 5ESS and Taqua Class 5 Switching products to include NextGen, xDSL, TDMA/GSM/UMTS 2, 2.5, 2.75 & 3, & VoIP.

 

Assisted firms obtain LEC or MSO licensure & build-out from inception through completion of dial tone and billing. Assisted clients with filing for the LEC Certificate, CATV Application, PSC, State & County Hearing Representation, Negotiating Tariffs, Real Estate Location/Development & Permitting. Facility build-outs consisted of NOC & TAC Services, Operator Services, Back Office Billing, Co-Locations, Conduit & Manhole Leases, ASR's & LSR's, Mapping, Equipment Recommendations & Provisioning, Housing Development/Village & MDU Design-Build-outs, "Facilities Based" & "Non-Facilities Based" solutions, OSP layout, FTTx Solutions, HFC, Digital Cable TV & High Speed Internet Solutions, Hardwired & Wireless Systems, etc.

Area Service Manager - Installed and maintained Promethean ActivClassrooms in a tri-state area. This included hardwired & wireless Interactive Smart White Boards, Tablets, Slates, Cameras, Audio/Video Systems, Distributed Antenna Systems & Software in the Academic & Private Sectors. This encompassed the design, deployment, equipment installation, ISP, OSP, project management, training, budgeting, inventory management, customer service and quality assurance, including a 30,000 sq ft office / warehouse. Electrical Dept. Supervisor – Supervised the construction, budgeting, inventory management, project management, customer service and quality assurance for two separate developments within Sarasota County totaling almost 1800 acres and 2000 homes. Managed multiple projects simultaneously, while supervising up to 38 in-house employees and sub-contractors on special projects. Our department was responsible for all ISP & OSP Electrical, Structured Wiring and Life Safety Systems required per national, state and local codes to include Permitting, Inspections and As-Built Drawings.
